The width of the picture will be the same as the width of this writeup. Each such picture is about 40 to 80 KB and should open quite fast. If the resolution of your monitor is set at 800x600 px, this size of the picture will fill up the width of almost your entire screen; but if it is 1024x768 of higher, the picture will look much smaller and there will be lots of margin space left on the two sides.
